From April 17 to 19, as part of the 57th World Earth Day promotional events at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), five sessions of the dinosaur-themed popular science stage play Project D: Reviving Dinosaurs were jointly staged by the Yifu Museum of China University of Geosciences and Changzhou China Dinosaur Park. The show offered audiences an exclusive immersive entertainment experience centered on dinosaurs, embarking them on a popular science journey filled with fun and knowledge.
Project D: Reviving Dinosaurs adopts a diverse performance form integrating live acting, highly realistic dinosaur props and on-site special effects, authentically restoring the prehistoric scenes of hundreds of millions of years ago. In the play, an archaeological expedition accidentally discovers a perfectly preserved dinosaur egg in the permafrost. Scientists carry out in-depth research relying on the resources of the Dinosaur Genetic Research Center, exploring ways to revive dinosaurs based on this ancient treasure. Professor D invites visitors from all over the world to the laboratory to witness the crucial moment of dinosaur revival.
Professional actors seamlessly weave the evolution stories and living habits of dinosaurs into the wonderful plot. Free from rigid and dull preaching, the play features immersive experiences and interesting interactive sessions. Both children and adults can uncover the secrets of dinosaurs and appreciate the charm of ancient creatures amid laughter and joy, sowing the seeds of curiosity for exploring nature in their hearts.
