International Young Scholars Visit Yifu Museum
On March 25th, more than 80 young talents from famous universities and research institutes all over the world who were attending the 3rd CUG Forum for International Young Scholars visited Yifu Museum.
Under the leadership of the lecturers, young scholars visited the six exhibition halls themed as the Mysteries of the Earth, the Origin and Evolution of Life, Minerals and Rocks, Gems and Jewels, Mineral Resources, and Donations of Mr. Zhang He. They witnessed the colorful magnetic suspended tellurion, lifelike crinoids, unusual conglomerate dinosaur egg fossils, multi-colored minerals, and the fantastic time tunnel.
Under the background that the museum undertaking has been upgraded as the national strategy, Yifu Museum will earnestly implement the instructions of the general secretary Xi Jinping on the work of museums, give full play to the function of science popularization, vigorously highlight the geoscience characteristics of the museum, and become an arresting business card for the publicity and service of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) to contribute to the construction and development of the university and to play an important role in the promotion of scientific literacy of the public.
