On the morning of September 6, the 2025 Hongshan District National Science Popularization Month was launched at the Hongshan District Cultural and Sports Building. Sui Jixiang, Director of the Science Exhibition Center of the Yifu Museum at China University of Geosciences, led a team to participate in the event.

The opening ceremony of the Science Popularization Month was held under the theme "Technology Changes Life, Innovation Wins the Future." At the Weijia Baigangcheng Plaza near the Cultural and Sports Building, the Yifu Museum, along with 30 other enterprises, universities, research institutes, and district-level units, simultaneously set up science exhibition booths. These booths provided citizens with fun, interactive science displays, collectively creating a science feast for the public.

Aligning with the event theme, the Yifu Museum exhibited mineral specimens such as kidney-shaped hematite, high-purity quartz, bentonite, and lepidolite ore, alongside representative cultural and creative products and popular science books. The exhibits were warmly received by citizens, with many crowding around the booths and eagerly participating in science quizzes.

On August 30, the Yifu Museum held a popular science course titled "Mineral Pigments" to kick off the Science Popularization Month, which was attended by over 20 family groups.
It is reported that this marks the first National Science Popularization Month since the revision of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Science and Technology Popularization." The activities in Hongshan District will continue throughout September, with dozens of science bases, hundreds of science events, and thousands of science volunteers participating across the district to bring citizens an innovative "Science Carnival."
